Nepal’s Hospitality Industry Welcomes a Landmark Project
In a significant development for Nepal’s tourism sector, Sarovar Hotels, in collaboration with The Massif Hotel, has announced the opening of the Royal Tulip Kathmandu in 2025. The hotel, under the Louvre Hotels Group, will feature 304 rooms, surpassing existing giants like The Soaltee and Hyatt Regency, and claiming the title of Nepal’s largest hotel.

Situated just 3.5 km from Tribhuvan International Airport, the hotel is designed to attract mountaineers, pilgrims, and business travelers from India and Southeast Asia.

- Largest MICE facilities in Kathmandu with two grand halls, each measuring 11,000 ft².
- A focus on affordable luxury with competitive pricing for large events like weddings.
Sarovar Hotels’ Expanding Global Portfolio
Sarovar Hotels has been actively expanding its footprint:
- 135 properties across 85 destinations in India, Nepal, and Africa.
- New ventures include highway hotels in India and projects in Somaliland and Uganda.
- A 156-room Sarovar Portico near Chennai is also in the pipeline.
This robust growth is expected to drive a 12-13% revenue increase by 2025, according to Bakaya.
