IME Group has inaugurated the Ila Comfort Luxury Hotel in Baglung Bazaar, aiming to enhance tourism infrastructure in Nepal’s Gandaki region. The hotel, established with an investment of approximately NPR 300 million, was officially opened by Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, during a ceremony on Saturday.

Strategically located along the Kaligandaki Corridor and the Mid-Hill Highway, the hotel is poised to offer quality services to tourists and guests exploring Baglung and its surrounding attractions. Minister Pandey emphasized the positive impact of IME Group’s investment on the nation’s tourism sector, stating, “The government is determined to promote the tourism sector as it is the future of Nepal’s economic prosperity.”
Encouraging Further Investments
Krishna Pathak, Minister for Health of Gandaki Province, lauded IME Group’s contributions to tourism infrastructure nationwide and encouraged additional investments within the province. He remarked, “If there are obstacles in some places, you should come to our Gandaki Province with your investment schemes. We, the people of Gandaki, welcome you to build more tourism infrastructure.”

Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Chairman of IME Group and President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, expressed confidence that the new hotel will significantly contribute to the region’s tourism development. He highlighted the company’s focus on investing in tourism and hydropower sectors across all seven provinces, aiming to improve the nation’s economy and citizens’ living standards. Dhakal noted, “Investment in the tourism and hydropower sectors will bring multifaceted benefits to the economy and improvement of the living standards of citizens.”

Spanning 4 ropanis of land, the Ila Comfort Luxury Hotel boasts 30 elegantly designed rooms, including 27 guest rooms, two suites, and a special penthouse. Each accommodation is crafted to offer guests an extraordinary experience beyond traditional hospitality.
